My Big Fat Greek... Holiday - Part II

Chania - the second largest city in Crete and has an airport where we landed. We took a trip there one day and walked around in a very noisy, busy and crowded place. When crossing a street you really need to have eyes at the back of your head. It wasn't very pretty either. Kind of ...seemed messy.

But the harbour... oh the harbour was beautiful. The architecture is great, reminded me of Venice a lot, which is no surprise as a lot of buildings were built during the Venetian era. The bay is full of cute restaurants with tables outside, checkered tablecloths and a great view at the lighthouse. We had a seafood lunch in one of them and drank a small bottle of Raki on the house. It was a lovely day followed by al ovely late afternoon on the beach and a night of drinking more Raki shots...

Are you sure you don't prefer blue sky and blue sea to mountains and mud? Your nails certainly seem to have adapted!

Oh wow - you can sell those shots to the travel agency for their brochures and get some of your money back! So picturesque and atmospheric, lovely. xx
